Danièle

Henkel

A key figure in Quebec entrepreneurship, Danièle Henkel has boundless determination and perseverance. After studying international relations at the University of Oran Es-Sénia in Algeria, she served as political and economic advisor to the U.S. Embassy in Algeria for 10 years. She then emigrated to Canada. Daniele Henkel Enterprises™, today recognized as the Canadian leader in the medical-aesthetic field, was born in 1996 from a simple exfoliation product: the Renaissance™ Glove. An initiative that, for the most part, was doomed to failure. Today, it is the best-selling product in its category in Canada and around the world. Daniele Henkel's Academy™ is dedicated to upgrading the skills of thousands of medical-aesthetic professionals to enable them to better contribute to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In 2015, she conceived a partnership that is unique in the world! Franchises of high-calibre care concepts with the Uniprix chain of pharmacies. In 18 months, 80 franchises are installed. From 2015 to 2018, one of her proudest achievements was her presidency of the Parc Jean-Drapeau Board of Directors. In 2018, she was named a champion by the Government of Canada for the #WeFi initiative, a World Bank program to promote the financial independence of women entrepreneurs in developing countries. In 2019, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade and Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, appointed her to co-chair a committee of national experts to develop ideas to increase the number of women entrepreneurs in Canada. In addition, since 2018 Danièle Henkel is also a member of the Advisory Board of Investissement Québec.
